Namibia

Namibia is one of my favourite places. I’ve only been there twice, but I’ve driven from one end to the other, and spent more time there than in any other African country.

Etosha National Park

One of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. Where else could you sit and watch 38 giraffe come to a waterhole–and be the only human there to see them?

Okonjima combines a luxury lodge, opportunities to see animals quite close up, and is the home of Africat, a research foundation that cares for leopards, cheetah and lions.

It’s first thing in the morning, but it’s already maybe 35 degrees, and to see these rock engravings I have to climb a mountain of rock. It was worth it.

Capital of Namibia. Windhoek is one of my favourite places on the planet.
